Europa Village

Event location in Temecula CA

A Fairytale Wedding in Wine Country (Europa Village, 33475 La Serena Way, Temecula, CA 92591-5104)

This past summer, I was honored to serve as my brother’s best man at his wedding. Ben married his long-time girlfriend in June, at a destination wedding in Temecula, California. The Europa Village Inn location was perfect for the pair, who had bonded over their taste in fine wine.  My parents jumped at the opportunity to organize most of the wedding, working with Europa Village to plan a total fairytale event. The entire wedding party stayed at Europa Inn, the beautiful bed and breakfast on location. The rooms were extravagant (a little disarmingly so, actually), and each featured a private balcony overlooking the vineyards. The breakfast each morning was to die for, all prepared by the in-house chef Dean.
The day before the wedding, we got an opportunity to take a tour and attend a wine-tasting event with the whole party. The vineyards were truly spectacular, and the wine they produced is among the best wineries in temecula! I don’t have the taste buds of a sommelier like my brother, but I certainly enjoyed all of the different varieties. I could tell my brother was really impressed with the selection offered, which made buying a wedding present easy! We gave Ben and his soon-to-be wife a subscription to the Europa Village Wine Club, which ships a selection of their premium products to your house every other month. My only gripe is that my girlfriend and I overslept the opportunity for a hot-air balloon ride over the valley, but everyone else who went reported it was a highlight of the whole weekend. We decided to check out Grapeline Vine Tours during the break from the group. That tour ended up being a stress-free, relaxing day before the craziness of a wedding.
The ceremony itself was even better than the top-quality resort—we rented out the tasting room, a spacious wine cave underneath the facilities. Even though it was summer in Southern California, the cave kept everyone cool as cucumbers. An old family friend officiated the wedding, and it was really something special. As the best man, I spent the entire time fretting about the speech I was going to give at the reception. Luckily, the dinner (a delicious roast beef buffet) came with an open bar, serving just enough of that fine wine to calm my nerves. The reception took place outside under the arbor, and live music supplied by the venue accented the joyous mood.  It felt like home away from home.
All in all, I can’t have imagined my brother’s wedding taking place anywhere other than Europa Village which is also known as La Europa Temecula. The gorgeous scenery, delicious food, and sophisticated air all matched Ben and his wife to a T. While I don’t have the kind of cash to stay at the Inn again, I’d go in a heartbeat if someone else footed the bill!
